Light of Light Ministries

Light of Life International Inc exists to win souls and reach the poor through international crusades and compassion.   Light of Life International (LOLI) is also committed to igniting fire and destiny in the hearts of men and women through evangelism and Holy Spirit fire conferences, and ministries that target pastors, intercessors and families.

Our mission statement then is simple: Passion and Compassion!  We are committed to boldly declaring that Jesus saves and heals!  He will turn you from the power of darkness and Satan to the power of the cross of Jesus, to forgive your sins and offer you eternal life.  He will set you ablaze with the firepower of the Holy Spirit to change the world around you with the Gospel.  So this is our mission: to love people and to declare the Good News.

ACCOUNTABILITY
Because integrity and character matter, LOLI is accountable to the pastoral team of Bethesda Community Church.  This is our home church where Stephen also serves as Director of Missions and Evangelism.  LOLI also has an independent advisory board made up of pastors, evangelists and businessmen.

MINISTRY BACKGROUND
Stephen asked Jesus into his life in Australia at age four. The fire of the Holy Spirit fell on him at a small Arkansas campground seven years later, with a prophetic word coming forth that he would be a light to the world. Stephen never looked back! Stephen traveled with his dad, Desmond Evans, and other ministries around the world during his teenage and university years - sharing Jesus on the streets and in churches, and extending His compassion in war hospitals and orphanages.

In May 1996, Stephen joined the staff of Bethesda Community Church and went on to earn his Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages at Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary.  He met Alisa during this time and they married in May 2000.

In fall 2002, Stephen accepted oversight of Bethesda’s Missions Department: leading construction and medical teams to Europe, Central America and South America.  By the close of 2003, he had traveled to six continents and over fifty countries, ministering in many of them.

REINHARD BONNKE
In January 2004, Stephen joined Reinhard Bonnke as his personal assistant, traveling to Port Harcourt, Ijebu-Ode and Saki, Nigeria for Double the Harvest Campaign. Millions accepted Jesus as Savior and thousands experienced the miraculous healing power of God’s compassion and experienced the baptism of the fire of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord used Reinhard Bonnke to sharpen the faith of Stephen and Alisa, and to expand their own vision for ministry. Stephen and Alisa set out to pursue the calling to win souls - and that is how Light of Life International started!

TEN YEAR PLAN
Today, LOLI includes Steve and Nita New, a Honduran crusade team, and many other wonderful volunteers and co-laborers.  At the same time, the Lord continues to develop our vision for ministry.

In August 2006, the Lord dropped in our hearts the idea of touching every country in Latin America with Gospel crusades and compassion outreaches.  We have embraced this by with campaigns in Guatemala, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica.  However, our passion and main focus remains Honduras - where we are committed to doing at least one crusade annually.

In February 2009, we launched a weekly television broadcast.  It presently reaches the entire country of Honduras (every Saturday morning) and we are excited about sharing the love and power of Jesus with our audience!
