Light of Light Ministries

So I’m standing on the stage in Puntarenas, Costa Rica on Saturday night – and I cannot believe my eyes!  The field is now a lake of mud, bugs and six inch deep water.  The tropical rains continue to pour down from the sky and conventional wisdom cries out that the crusade has to be cancelled.  That is until I look out and see thousands of people getting hammered by the elements – hungry for God! 

For some on our team, all they could do was cry when confronted with this scene!  Tears not brought on from sympathy over what the people were battling – but tears that come from the deepest part of your soul.  Tears that cry out with passion and fire: I’m hungry too Jesus!  This was the beginning to a night I will never forget.

I spoke of the fire of the Holy Spirit that night.  And the heavenly response to the cries of the people was nothing short of astonishing!  People crashed face down into the water – out under the power of God.  Ushers and security staff pulled their faces out of the water, and they came up speaking in tongues and crying out to the Lord!  The people started coming up on the stage to testify to the miraculous - below are some of their testimonies.  Some could not even speak because of the overwhelming presence of the Lord.  The rain kept coming but it was the fire of God that people were aware of now. 

ADDICTS SET FREE FROM DRUGS
An older man shared how he had been sleeping in trash cans, addicted to drugs.  But Friday night, Jesus set him free and the bondage was broken!  A lady later testified how she had been bound by depression, taking prescription drugs.  But on the same night, Jesus set her free from drug addiction!

BACKS & NECKS HEALED
After reporting on the salvation of her husband (awesome!), a lady described how she came to the service with back pain.  It had almost kept her from coming and initially hindered her from worshipping the Lord.  But she testified that she felt fire run through her body and the pain left!

A young man shared how he had been unable to move his neck (as in rotating it to look left or right).  But the Lord touched him and he showed us how he could now move it freely from side to side.  Then suddenly, he fell face-forward down on the stage under the power of the Holy Spirit.  One of the pastors traveling with us commented how the man did not even extend his hands to brace himself – his head hit right between the two decorative columns!  Up on the platform, we instinctively winced because it looked like something that would really hurt.  But when he later stood up, he continued to rejoice in the grace and glory of God.

EYES & LEGS HEALED
One man testified how the Lord restored his vision.  Able to see clearly now at a close distance, he did something that he could not do before: read from the 23rd Psalm.

A lady who had not been able to walk for 15 days due to an injury from an accident also came forward.  She described how her leg had been swollen and caused her a lot of pain.  So much pain that she was afraid that she would not make it to the crusade.  She came and during the prayer time for healing and miracles on Friday night, she felt fire go through her body and she was totally healed.  The lady came back Saturday night – walking – to testify to the compassion and power of God!

HANDS HEALED
A lady testified that she had broken her arm in 4 places and was unable to lift it or grasp anything with her hand.  But she was now able to do both things healed by the power of God!  Another lady testified how she had not been able to open her hand for 5 months and did not have the money for the doctor to look at it.  But the Great Physician touched her on Saturday night and she was able to open and close her hand freely!

AND MORE...
One lady testified how she had a hernia that could be felt externally.  During the prayer time, the pain grew increasingly intense.  She felt it “pop out” and leave her body - and the hernia could no longer be felt.

A young girl came on the stage trembling, clearly being strongly affected by the Holy Spirit.  She testified: “tonight I was baptized in fire.”  Wilmer asked her: “What do you feel?”  And for a moment it appeared that she could not answer him.  Finally, her response was not in Spanish – it was a new prayer language from heaven!  As she prayed in tongues, she could no longer stand but simply fell to the stage under the glory of the Lord!

Another person came up to testify on the platform, but the presence and power of the Holy Spirit was so strong that she could not speak!
